FOX 5’s Morning News
KUSI’s Good Morning San Diego
Synecdoche Communications will host the second Girl’s Day In on April 17, 2010. This show will serve as an “indie shopping mall” for the day by bringing together a broad spectrum of vendors from the plethora of arenas that impact women’s lives most by including sellers from the worlds of fashion, food, fitness, music, financial planning, health & well-being, beauty and myriad others. Admission is free, though visitors are encouraged to bring gently used or new clothing and other items to be donated to the YWCA of San Diego. There will be a variety of raffle items up for grabs throughout the day with a total value of more than $7000.
The idea for the Girl’s Day In came to the group after participating in and attending various San Diego shows which featured either fashion, lifestyle or other businesses, but rarely all together under the same umbrella. Synecdoche Communications says of the event, “As residents of San Diego we have loved seeing the arts & fashion community, the independent spirit of small business owners and the offerings that has produced expanding exponentially over the last several years. We all have really enjoyed the variety of events and opportunities that has opened to the community in San Diego. This event is not intended as competition for any of those great offering, but rather as a compliment to them. It is really a way to bring many of the worlds that interest women together in one forum. We are incredibly excited by the potential and possibility in this event.”
